Why JIRA is NOT the recommended tool for visualizing work
For the love of everything that is decent and innocent in this world, avoid JIRA.
I've used JIRA, Rally, Azure DevOps and Kanbanize to organize work in small to large enterprise.
Here is what I recommend: 👇
Some practical requirements from a software development point of view:
👉 Kanbanize is the only tool that makes it easy, I'd say designed, to make data based decisions as a team. I mean, real metrics, not vanity metrics.
👉 Only Kanbanize enables putting more than one person's name on a work item.
👉 Both Kanbanize and Rally Software have been birthed for agile software development. Unlike JIRA which is primarily an issue tracker.
Small to Medium:
- Kanbanize is a no brainer
Medium to Large:
- Kanbanize
- Rally Software
Large:
- Rally Software
- Azure DevOps (only if you are bound to Microsoft everything)
I am not recommending Kanbanize for large enterprise as I don't have practical experience with it in this scenario.
