Scrum Masters: Having to run after senior people for basic stuff?
X: Adnan, you have to run after some of the senior people to add the risk & issues on the board.
Adnan: What's the reason?
X: They're just so busy... you've seen their calendars...
Adnan: Is it because, if they add an issue to the board, then we start asking them for more updates?
X: Yeah... that's it (gets the point)
Adnan: How might we remove the friction in this process?
X: It's just exhausting with so much work...
Adnan: Decreasing work in progress in parallel can help...
But in this case, could we link the issues as dependencies for the work they block? This way, we can track them in our tool instead of pushing the team members for updates.
X: We can at least try something new because current process is not working.
Adnan: Thanks. I can help you set it up. But... first... time for coffee.
Often, we set out to understand things better, but we add friction.
